Fund Appeal

The majority of Pakistan’s geographic regions, particularly the southern province of Balochistan and Sindh, have been severely impacted by the recent rainstorms. The ongoing environmental changes have greatly increased rainfall, and they have also hastened the melting of glaciers in the northern areas, which causes unexpected floods because of water overflowing in the river banks.

Pakistan is one of the most vulnerable countries facing environmental destruction, yet the multibillion-dollar international aid promised at COP26 Glasgow to address environmental degradation has yet to be implemented. Additionally, Pakistan’s concern authorities never paid any regard to the effects of such environmental catastrophes.

Floods have wreaked havoc due to overflowing rivers and streams and the excessive rainfall. A findings show that more than 700 people had died, hundreds of thousands were suffering with various illnesses, millions of families were left homeless, standing crops had been ruined, and communication infrastructure, such as roads and bridges, had been damaged.

In that catastrophic circumstance, the government has, as usual, absolutely failed to fulfil its crucial responsibility. They are reluctant to rescue distressed persons and give humanitarian supplies. Leaving millions of people coping with this unexpected disaster. Thus, this explains the government’s callous treatment of the flood victims.

In addition to criticizing the government and concerned state institutions for failing to uphold their social and constitutional obligations to aid and rehabilitate the affected individuals during floods, earthquakes, and Covid-19 epidemics, we have also advocated for the prompt aid and rehabilitate the victims in close coordination with our sister organizations.

We have begun giving food, medications, and other relief supplies to the flood victims in Balochistan and Sindh, the country’s poorest region, in accordance with our social responsibility and organizational decision. We as a group have carried out similar deeds in the past, and this time we are providing support to remote districts of Balochistan and Sindh.

In order to show our support for the victims, we are asking for your financial support and assistance. We are hoping that you will help us continue our effort to provide relief to flood victims.
